For example, it has been noted on this board that Europeans take more kindly to Miami than people from other parts of the U.S. I think this is a crucial factor because it impacts my outlook on things. citizen, I was born and raised in Canada and spent much of my youth in Toronto. I am therefore obviously not raising a family and am perfectly comfortable living in an urban setting indefinitely.Ģ) Although a U.S. What I like about Brickell is the urban setting, fine dining/shopping (but more "grown up" than South Beach), and overall exotic, cosmopolitan urban atmosphere.ġ) I am a young gay white male.
Miami Beach is too chaotic for me, and the rest of Miami doesn't really appeal to me. I am considering a move to Miami, and the area I am most interested in is Brickell. But I want to put my situation in context so you understand my life circumstances, as that seems to be such a crucial factor in forming one's experience with the city. I welcome responses from everyone, whether you love or hate Miami. My feeling is that people's divergent viewpoints may be a reflection of different experiences with this city and different life circumstances. I have been reading the threads and I know a lot of people here hate Miami and a few love it. I want to ask this question from a very particular viewpoint.
